Obituary:
Medina County Gazette-November 2, 1893: Ameliah Repp, maiden name Bensinger,
was born in Berks County Pennsylvania, January 16, 1816, and died at her
home near West Salem, Ohio, October 19, 1893, aged 77 years, eight months
three days. She immigrated with her parents to all Hydro in the year of 1834
and was united in marriage to Peter Repp in 1836.
To this union were born nine sons and two daughters. She was converted
during the winter of 67 and 68 to join the Evangelical Association in which
she remained in lived a consecrated and devoted life, until death came to
release her of her pain and suffering. She has been a sufferer for years and
428 long months she had been sorely a flick did, but humbly bound to the
will of the omnipotent and bore her affliction with Christian patients only
waiting for the master to say, "it is enough, come up higher". Her very
countenance told that she was prepared to go and meet her God in peace, and
she often expressed her desire to depart this life and be at rest beyond the
shining shores. She leaves to mourn her to part for, and aged husband, six
sons, two daughters, 44 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of
relatives and friends. 11 grandchildren have preceded her to this beer world
where they in meeting will part no more. Funeral was written and assisted by
reverends D. C. Echerman and A. F. Reary of the West Salem Evangelical
Church. "Peace to her ashes".
