Dale died Feb 17 after a long struggle. I will be forever indebted to him for getting me started on genealogy.

I started with Bush family information a few years ago when my cousin, Jim Bush, gave me my great grandparents (Bush) family bible. In 2010 I decided to put Dale's work on the Newton family tree from Edgar County Illinois on the computer. He used a typewriter.

It has been an adventure with a lot of help along the way from Dale and all his research. I need to say so much more about Dale but am afraid I would not stop. He told me that once started on genealogy you can never quit. He will be missed by so many.

Dale's obituary was published in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star on February 20, 2014 and chronicles his life and family. He was more than just my second cousin.
Thank you Dale
John

Below is the last paragraph from his obituary:

"Dale Newton, you were a wonderful good man whom we love so deeply. Our hearts are heavy from the void your passing leaves. Heaven, however, is a much richer place as you enthrall, enliven, and entertain the heavenly hosts with your stories, humor, joyfulness and exuberant spirit. God blessed us with you."
