Rites Today For
Mrs. McIntyre
Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. Banks G. McIntyre, 85, who died early yesterday morning in Minden Sanitarium after a short illness.
A native of Summerfield, Ala., Mrs. McIntyre was the former Mary McVoy, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A.D. McVoy. Her childhood was spent in Mansfield where her late father was president of the old Mansfield Female College. She moved to Minden in 1905.
Services were to be in St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Thomas M. Wade III officiating. Burial was to be in Minden Cemetery under the direction of Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home.
Survivors are one son, A. McVoy McIntyre of Boston, Mass.; one daughter, Mrs. Burrows J. Wheless of Shreveport and five grandchildren.
