CUMBERLAND — Geneva "Tutsie" Pearl Hamilton, 83, of Cumberland, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the WMHS-Memorial Campus.

Born Jan. 1, 1926, in Louise, she was the daughter of the late Charles William Smith and Myrtle Viola (Stewart) Smith. Mrs. Hamilton was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul E. Dreyer, killed in action during World War II; her second husband, William A. Hamilton; two brothers, George A. and Charles W. Smith; and a sister, Betty J. Messman.

Geneva formerly worked at the Kelly-Springfield Tire and Rubber Company during World War II and later worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Poling, DDS.

Geneva was a dedicated and loving mother who spent many hours of activity with the Ladies of the Shrine in Tampa, Fla. She was also a member of God's Little Chapel in LaVale, and an honorary member of the 73rd Bomb Wing.

Geneva is survived by her loving daughter, Paulette J. "P.J." Webster and her husband Jim, LaVale; her grandson and the light of her life, Christopher M. Webster; her special canine friend, Sempei; her sisters, Margaret Kelly, Pawley's Island, S.C., and Helen B. Wilson, Cumberland; her brothers, William D. Smith and his wife Mary and Robert A. Smith, all of Cumberland; as well as several nieces and nephews with whom she shared a special relationship.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Friday, May 1, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Gramlich Road, LaVale, on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Bishop David Kartchner officiating. The family will also receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth St. NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517.
