Born Nov. 23, 1987, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he was a son of E. Rodney and Denise Dugan Hart. He was married to his faithful wife, Michell LaVon Williams, on June 6, 2008, and she survives.
He was a 2005 graduate of Cranesville Christian Academy and also attended Bob Jones University. He worked at several tool and die companies before his illness.
Sam was an accomplished musician and artist. He was very athletic and loved soccer. He was also a loving son, grandson and husband. He served with his family in Brazil as a missionary and was a very kind and courteous person who would help anyone in need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Rodney and Denise of Cochranton; a brother, James Hart of Conneaut Lake; paternal grandmother, Eleanor Hart of Cochranton; maternal grandfather, James Dugan of Dicksonburg; uncles, Eric Dugan and his wife, Barbie, of Dicksonburg, Gary Hart and his wife, Peggy, of Meadville, Steve Hart and his wife, Dawna, of Cochranton, and Lester Hart and his wife, Julie, of Cooperstown; two aunts, Cheryl Strum and her husband, Darren, of Florida, and Kim Albury and her husband, Ron, of Kentucky; and many cousins, and great-aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ernest Hart, his namesake; and maternal grandmother, Reba Dugan.
Friends may call at Dickson Family Funeral Home Inc., 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton, on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. George Alquist Jr. of Grace of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Cochranton Cemetery.
