To them were given four children: two, a son and a daughter preceded their mother into the future life. Two sons remain, Murl C. Graves of Inglewood and Don E. Graves of South Pasadena who today lay away the body of their beloved mother in this beautiful Inglewood Park Cemetery. Of other near relatives, Mrs. Graves leaves two sisters: Mrs. Myrta Sawyer of Claremont, California, and Mrs. Bertha Knapp of Pontiac, Illinois and a grandson, son of Murl and Mrs. Graves.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Graves, in 1920, came to California and since has resided in Los Angeles.
From her earliest years she was a devout Christian and an active and faithful worker in her Church. In Los Angeles, her membership was first with the Vermont Square Methodist Church, but for the past 18 years has been in the First Methodist Church. There she was active in the work of all the women's organizations and in the Woman's Bible Class. Her love and her interest were ever for her beloved Church. It was the center of her life. To it she gave her time, her gifts, her prayers, herself. She was a thoroughly good Christian woman. We are poorer, but heaven is richer, for her going.
