Anthony R. Marrone, 82
ATLANTIC CITY - Anthony R. Marrone, 82, died April 10, 2008 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was a resident of Ocean City since 1970, later moving to Atlantic City. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran who served during World War II. He was the owner of Sir Speedy Printing in Edison. He became a founding member of the Rotary Club in Edison and was the recipient of the Paul Harris Award for his commitment. He was also on the board of directors of the Edison Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid golfer and poker player.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy.
Survivors include his children, Marilyn Yaure and Jean Chido; a sister, Elaine Bailiff; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His family will receive friends Wednesday May 14 from 9:30 a.m. until his funeral mass at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, 1310 Ocean Ave., Ocean City. His interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home of Richboro, Pa.
