Age 61 years, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at her home in Ypsilanti. Karen was born on August 5, 1952 to John Sr. and Dolores Casassa, of St. Charles.

Karen is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Don) Pudlowski, of Copley, Ohio, and Danielle Woodyard (Doug West), of Whitmore Lake; four grandchildren, Steven, Kyle, Dustin and Andy; mother, Dolores Casassa; sisters, Donna (Kevin) Moore and Jane Casassa, all of St. Charles, and Elaine Casassa (Tom Powelson), of Elsie; brothers, John Jr. (Jackie) Casassa, of Midland; Steve (Deb) Casassa, of Chesaning; niece, Dana (Fred) Raymond, of St. Charles; nephews, Derek (Emily Szymanski) Moore, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Michael (Kaylee) Casassa, Jordan Casassa, all of Chesaning; and two great-nieces, Alexis and Cadence Raymond. Karen was preceded in death by her father, John Casassa, Sr. in 1988.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the grand-children's college funds.
