Fred Frank "Frog" Fox, 70, of Greeneville, passed away Monday morning, February 17, 2014, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. He was a retired carpenter and mason. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Mary Fox; one daughter and son-in-law: Anna and Jimmy Mercer of Greeneville; son: James Fox of Franklin, NC; grandchildren: Donald, Cody, and Cory Fox, Misty and Tara Mercer; great-grandchildren: Daniel, Nevaeh, and Mayla Fox, and Dallan Strong; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Earl and Barbara Fox of Greeneville and Gene Fox of Horse Creek; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Mary Tarlton of Horse Creek, Kathy Graham of Greeneville, and Ruby and John Johnson of Arkansas; special sister-in-law: Louise Weems; special friends: Jennifer Womack, Artry and Shelby Johnson, Claude and Shirley Hurd, Racheal Shelton, and Madison Hensley.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James Edgar and Liza Key Fox; grandson: Daniel F. Fox; brothers: Hobart and Robert Fox; sister: Betty Lamb.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow visitation on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Doyle Pruett will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. on Friday to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service.

Active pallbearers will be Don Fox, Randy Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Cody Fox, Cory Fox, and Opie Fox. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Dr. Mandeep Bakshi, Jimmy and Betty Feezell, and the ICU staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital
