Falkner, MS - Jimmy Dale Hopkins, 66, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 11, 1947 to the late Leland Vance and Velma Lindsey Hopkins. He was a retired roofer for Treadwell Chambers Construction and a Baptist. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a good friend to all.
Services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Onnie Ralph officiating. Burial will be in Falkner Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Ruth Richardson Hopkins of Falkner; four daughters, Jennifer Stanford (Jonathan) of Ripley, Belinda Bell ((BJ) of Falkner, Kimberly Stump (David) of Ripley and Laurie Criscoe of Falkner; two grandchildren, Nathan Stanford of Ripley and Sydney Bell of Falkner; one sister, Ruth Mathews of Ashland; two brothers, Leon Hopkins (Lou Ann) of Falkner and Larry Hopkins of New Albany.
Pallbearers will be Danny Mathews, Randy Mathews, Dwayne Hopkins, Charlie Hopkins, Terry Hopkins and Shane Wommack. Honorary Pallbearers will be Layne Jeter, Daniel Jeter and Nathan Stanford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Loucille Hopkins; and four brothers, Shirley, Terrell, Neal and Perry Wayne Hopkins.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Ripley Funeral Home.
