Published in the Edmonton Journal, Edmonton Alberta, Jan 8, 1940 Monday page 14. --Mrs. Helena Marion Whitson-Mrs. Helena Marion Whitson, beloved wife of Thomas M. Whitson, of Fort Saskatchewan Alberta, passed away in a local hospital on Jan 6th aged 53 years. She is survived by her husband , one daughter, Mrs. Harry Stetson of Fort Saskatchewan, 3 sons Harvey and Arnold both of Fort Saskatchewan and Bruce of Los Angeles California; her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lawrence of Fort Saskatchewan; 2 sisters Mrs. John Armatage of Vancouver BC and Mrs. Harry Attewell of Horse Hills Alberta and 5 brothers, John, Morley, George, Virgil and Ernest Lawrence all of Fort Saskatchewan . The funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 pm at the Fort Saskatchewan United Church. Rev. T. Musto will officiate and interment will take place in the Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery. Howard and McBride funeral services.
