Rosie Lee Powell, 81, of Boiling Springs, NC went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2014. Daughter of the late, Roy and Viola Rankin, Rosie was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and was employed by The AmericInn in Boiling Springs. She was a very special Lady, loved by many but none more than her family. Mother of four daughters, one son, eight granddaughters, one grandson, four great granddaughters and one great great granddaughter, Rosie lead her family by example with strength, courage and love. She taught all her children to love each other unconditionally and to raise their children by the same standard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert F. Powell, Sr., son, Robert F. Powell, Jr., sister, Ruth Smith, brother, Eddie Rankin and son-in-law, Steve White.
She is survived by a sister and brother of Gaffney, SC., daughter of Boiling Springs, NC and daughter of Boiling Springs, NC, daughter of Gaffney, SC, and daughter of Casar, NC, 8 granddaughters, a grandson, 4 great granddaughters, and great great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews and her dog companion, Savannah.
