"Arlene R. Davidson, 80, a loving wife and caring mother went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, March 20, 2005, at Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, following a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Anna Roth Kreider. A resident of Lancashire Hall since 2004, she formerly lived on E. Second Ave., Lititz.

She was a member of the Lititz Church of the Brethren, where she was active with the Youth Group and the Rose of Sharon Sunday School Class. She also formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Girl Scouts in Lititz and was an avid bowler.

Arlene worked for the Animal Trap Factory , Wilbur Chocolate as a Floor Lady and retired in 1986 from Warwick High School Cafeteria .

She is survived by her husband of 61 yrs., Hevener J. Davidson, in addition to three daughters, Vicki L., wife of G. Michael McGinnis, Bonnie L., wife of Wayne E. Frey, Kathy A., wife of David Dinkel, and a son, David M. Davidson, all of Lititz. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Patsy, wife of Herbert B. Clausen, and Dorothy Weit, and a brother, Elwood Kreider, all of Lititz. She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters: Pauline D. McClellan, Helen Kreider, Winifred Schoenberger, Ruth Witmer, Edith Christner, Clarence Roth, Paul Kreider, Bert Kreider, Donald Kreider, Ray Kreider, and Richard Kreider, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24 ,2005, at 11:00 A.M. from Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 West Orange St., Lititz, Rev. Robert D. Kettering officiating.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening, from 7 to 8 PM at the Richard H. Heisey Funeral Home, 216 S. Broad St., Lititz, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thurs. Burial will be in Longenecker s Brethren Cemetery, Lititz. Contributions made be made in her memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125."
