Obituary-Mrs. Emma D. Starr
Services were at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton for Mrs. Emma Dorothy Starr 96, Holton. She died Thursday, Aug. 9, 1990, at a Holton nursing home.
Mrs. Starr was a retired farm wife. She was born July 19, 1894 at Soldier, the daughter of James and Mary Ann Bostwick Pollock.
She was married to Charles Starr Dee, 21, 1911, at Holton. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Dale Francis Starr and Marvin Leroy Starr, both of Soldier; a sister, Calla Brown, Soldier; two brothers, William Pollock, Wichita, and Paul Pollock, Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Burial was in Holton Cemetery.
