Glen E. Gleed, 93, of Moses Lake, died Aug. 6, 2008, in Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Glen was born Aug. 25, 1914, in Weston, Idaho, to Edwin C. and Sarah Emma Campbell Gleed.

Glen worked many hours with his family on their farm as a youth with his family. He married Della Dora Dye on March 28, 1936, in Goshen, Idaho. Glen will be remembered for his tinkering and many things he worked on, very much a "jack of all trades." He and Della retired to Evans, Wash., and lived there for more than 30 years, moving to Moses Lake in January of 2007. His beloved wife of more than 70 years preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2007. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Glen is survived by his children, Harold (Shirley) Gleed, of Frazier, Mont., Darlene Monday, Ron (Rosie) Gleed all of Moses Lake, Mary (Edward) McCann of Othello, Tom Gleed of Surprise, Ariz., Helen (Jess) Teats of Loon Lake, Linda (Rob) Cleveland of Daisy; sister Bonnie Rue Cox of Warden, brother and sister-in-law Terrell C. (Carol Mae) Gleed of Chewelah; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Della, brothers Burton Wayne Gleed, Robert Lyle Gleed, Don Campbell Gleed, Rodney Neal Gleed, Helen Marr Kerr, Fon Fred Gleed, and Nina Bell Clark.

A funeral service was held in his honor on Monday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Warden LDS chapel, 1017 S. County Rd, Warden. Burial will immediately follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Warden.
