Clara Bagwell Orr Porter, 67, died Jan. 25, 1996, at her home following a period of declining health. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Malissie Porter Bagwell and the wife of the late Sylvester Morris Orr.

She retired from Pendleton Manor after 17 years as a sitter and was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald M. and Carolyn Orr and Raymond H. and Bonnie Orr, all of Simpsonville; a sister, Corina Bagwell of Greenville; two brothers, Joseph Bagwell and Robert A. Bagwell, both of Greenville; three grandchildren Dwayne Orr, Tracy Riddle, and Donovan Orr; four great-grandchildren, Nichole Orr, Zachery Orr, Matthew Riddle, and Carolina Riddle; and her caregiver, Jamie Alexander of Greenville.
