James Brumfield, lifetime resident of Wagoner, Oklahoma died on Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 53. He was born on February 23, 1960 to Freda (Sowers) and Junior Brumfield in Wagoner, Oklahoma. After he received his early childhood education, he graduated from Wagoner High School. In his younger years he enjoyed the thrill of bull riding and would go to various rodeos. He liked to have cookouts and spend time with family and friends. His dog Bear and his cat, kept him entertained. He enjoyed fishing and was a dedicated volunteer fireman for the Taylor Ferry, Toppers and Whitehorn stations. James worked for ODOT for twelve years, until he retired due to his health conditions.
He was preceded in death by his sister Glenda "Kay" Brumfield and one uncle William Jesse "Bill" Brumfield. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bruce VonWald officiating. Burial was held at the Elmwood-Bennett Cemetery in Wagoner, OK.
