NOTE: This headstone must be for a son or other relative as the Andrew Franks memorialized here died in 1834. Was definitely NOT in the Confederate Army. In fact, this Andrew Franks has been proven to be a patriot in the American Revolution as attested by the approved DAR membership certificate pictured here.


Son of Jacob Franks of Wake Co, NC Married Seley McCinsey on 12 Jan 1780 in Wake Co, NC Served in the Revolutionary War as a Drummer Was the father of Peter, Elijah, Burrell, Joseph, Lucy, Celia Mahala, Delaney and Nancy. Memorial being created in this Franks Cemetery to preserve Franks family history and because other family members are buried there and so that family linkages can be made.
