John F. Aldred was the third of ten children born to Thomas Jefferson and Hannah Bonsall Fisher Aldred. He was born 1829 in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware. He died in Chester County, PA, April 11, 1898. John Aldred was a farmer and dairyman. He was survived by his wife, Sarah Jane Massey Aldred, his children; Mrs. Hannah Aldred Gray and her husband Benjamin, Miss Bertha L. Aldred, Mr. Henry Clay Aldred, Mrs. Amy Massey Aldred Gray and her husband Frank, brother to Benjamin Gray. Besides his parents John Aldred was predeceased by his son Thomas Morgan Aldred, and brothers William R. and George Aldred.
