Benjamin Jose Mariano, 89, of Lahaina, passed away on February 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1924 in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will be held again from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Ballard Family Mortuary, services at 10:30 a.m., burial 12 noon at Valley Isle Memorial Park.

Benjamin retired from Royal Lahaina Hotel as a Steward.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica Mariano; daughter, Fely Carbonell; brothers, Samuel (Arsenia) Mariano, and Bernardo (Benilda) Mariano; sisters, Laura Lalica, and Leonida Corpuz; grandchildren, Aldrin (Karla) Carbonell, and Alison Carbonell; and great-grandchild, Aldrin Jace "AJ" Carbonell.
