Gaffney, S.C. - Sarah Jean LeMaster Douglas, 91, of 801 S. Limestone Street, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Skylyn Place in Spartanburg.

Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the Honorable William Robert "Bobby" Douglas, Sr. and daughter of the late Rafe Richard LeMaster and Ina Eva Clary LeMaster.

Mrs. Douglas was a homemaker and former assistant to her husband. She had a passionate love for animals and was a member of First Baptist Church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Agape Hospice for their loving care and to Denise Campbell and her therapy dog Sophie.

Surviving are two sons, Bobby Douglas, Jr. and George Douglas, both of Gaffney; a daughter, Jeanne Douglas Bovair and husband, Jerald, of Kingsland Ga.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dick LeMaster.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. M. B. Morrow, Jr. and Rev. Tommy Comer officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Cherokee County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2223, Gaffney, SC 29342. The family will be at the residence, 801 S. Limestone Street, Gaffney.
