Patricia F. Bender, 72, of Muir, passed away Sunday, February 16th, at Broad Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
Born in Clarks Valley, September 8, 1941, a daughter of the late Harvey and Faye Stahl Leitzel.
Pat formerly worked as a Secretary at Williams Valley Jr. Sr. High School. She retired as a Clerk from the New Cumberland Army Depot.
Her life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her vibrant personality and how she greeted everyone with a smile.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Dean N. Bender, 2008; three brothers, Terry, Kerry and Lewis Leitzel.
Surviving are her son, Dean L. Bender and his wife Susan; two grandchildren, Leah Brew and Mitchel Bender; two great grandsons, Brandon and Kyle Brew all of Tower City; two brothers, Hilbert "Sonny" Leitzel, Florida and John Leitzel, Lykens. Nieces and nephews.
Committal services were held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City, in charge or arrangements
