He was the son of George and Martha Williams Bowman. He was a graduate of Mims High School in McCormick South Carolina. He was a graduate of ITC Theological Centery in Atlanta, Ga. He was ordained into the ministry in 2002 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Greenwood. He pastored Young Piney Grove Baptist Church in Trenton, South Carolina as well as Holy Springs Baptist Church.
