According to "A Genealogy of the Lineal Descendants of William Wood who Settled in Concord, Mass., in 1638" page 246, Eunice was born in the village of Auburndale at Newton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts on August 6, 1896. However the first two lines of the section of that book dedicated to her family contained two factual errors (her father's birthplace and the marriage date for her parents). Her birth record could not be located to verify.
