Bonnie G. Pugh, age 67 of North East, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013 after more than a year's battle with cancer.

Born in Elkton, MD on June 24th, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Richard L. and the late Alice B. Gill, and devoted wife of the late Leonard F. Pugh, Jr.

Bonnie served with the Maryland Forestry Service as a radio operator in the Black Hill Fire Tower. In later years, she helped support her husband's business as the office manager of North East Electric, from which she retired in 2005.

A strong, determined woman, she staunchly battled cancer while never losing her sense of humor or positive attitude. Through all the pain and trauma, she was always an attentive and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family, as well as a source of comfort and inspiration for other cancer patients she met along the way.

She is survived by her 2 sons: her 4 siblings: 5 grandchildren: and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will welcome friends beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union Hospital Cancer Center, 147 W. High Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
