She was the daughter of Daniel Brinker & Sarah Elizabeth Farthing.

Laura Ellen Brinker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Brinker, was born April 19, 1900. Departed this life Mar. 3, 1919, having lived in Nebo 18 yrs., 10 months and 5 days. Her father died sixteen years ago. Also an infant sister, Ida Florine and an elder sister, Mrs. Maud Stillwell preceded her to the beyond.
Ellen was a good daughter and sister and loved by all who knew her, especially in the home, school, and sabbath school which she attended regularly when able.
Though she never united with the church, shortly before she passed away she beautifully yielded to the advice of neighbors and accepted her Savior. Joy was unspeakable and the last few days she sang her favorite hymns and in visions angels ministered to her. She died trusting in the Lord.
Besides her mother she leaves to mourn her departure; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Baker, Misses Hattie and Bessie Brinker and Mrs. Verna Scranton, one Uncle, Mr. Smith Farthing, one Aunt, Mrs. Ellen Henry, five nieces and five nephews besides many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas. E. Liston and her remains were laid to rest in the Hunter Cemetery.
Submitted from Fannie Guthrie Buchanan's scrapbook by Kathy Robinson and Carolyne Conner Puskas.
