Passed away quietly with family by his side at the age of 71 years. Fred is predeceased by his parents Charles and Amy; brothers John and Mel; sister Marion. Fred will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his wife of 51 years Eleanor, two sons Greg (Marg) and Mike (Joanne); three granddaughters Christa, Lisa, Jolene; and one grandson Tyler; one great-grandson Brock; two brothers Bert (Dianne) and Jim (Helen); four sisters Betty (Steve) Wenger, Melody Chekmizoff, Esther Beckwith and Joan (Bud) Sarazen as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Fred started work at the age of 18 for the Saskatchewan Government Telephone Company and retired 35 years later from Sask Tel. He was a member of St. Michael's Anglican Church for 42 years. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St. James' Anglican Church, 1105 Empress Street on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. with The Rev. Joyce Hilton officiating. Interment at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Donations in Fred's memory may be made to Friends of 3D, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 7T1.
