Jody Blond Underwood of Campbellsville, son of the late Fred Underwood and Lela Skaggs Underwood was born in Larue County, Kentucky, March 11, 1925. He died at 6:20 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Greensburg. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions, primarily serving in construction.
He united in marriage to Cleo Blakeman February 1, 1947.
Besides his wife, Cleo Underwood, he is survived by his son and his wife, Michael T. and Brenda Underwood of ElkHorn; two granddaughters and husbands: Cathy and Shaun Murray of Greensburg and Stephanie and Joey Conn of Columbia; four grandsons: Dylan Conn, Dawson Conn, Dax Conn, and Casen Murray; one brother, Charles Underwood of Shepherdsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Joseph Dane Conn; one brother and three sisters: Otis Underwood, Dorothy Glidewell, Essie Perkins, and Pauline Sidebottom.
