SANDRA (Sandy) LEE WISE, 70, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at her home. Born March 18, 1938, in Smithsburg, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Lee and Vivian Marie (Kindle) Furgeson. She was raised in Hagerstown by her grandparents, Wilber and Linnie Robinson.
She retired in 2003 from Washington County Hospital after 30 years as a unit clerk.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 53 years, Glen E. Wise; a son, Chester A. Wise and wife, Becky, of Hagerstown; a daughter, Kathy S. Malott and husband, David, of Hagerstown; two brothers, Mike Bolt and wife, Judy, of Jarrettsville, Md., and Eugene L. Furgeson of Baltimore; three sisters, Barbara McKinney of Philadelphia, Martha Grimm and husband, John, of Georgia, and Linda Feldton and husband, Ray, of Des Plaines, Ill.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Bolt and Terry Palladino.
Funeral services were held at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown; interment followed in Rest Haven Cemetery.
