Joe Josh Bacon, 75, Gracey, died at 10:30 Sunday at his home of natural causes.

Services will be at 1pm Thursday at Gamble Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edmond White officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Cadiz. Visitation will be from 1 until 8pm Wednesday.

A native of Lafayette, he was born Oct. 14, 1922, the son of the late Luke and Cassie Blane Bacon. He was a farmer and a member of the "Harps of God" gospel group and was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church. His wife, Ovelia Civils Bacon, preceded him in death.

Survivors include a daughter; a step-daughter; a brother; three sister; one grandchild, eight step-grandchildren and nine great-step-grandchildren.
