Earl F. Rowe, 92, died Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Bellingham.

He was born February 11, 1921 in Olean, New York to Archie and Arlene (Lauser) Rowe.

On November 1, 1947 Earl married Lillian F Miller in Olean. They moved to Bellingham in 1954 where Earl worked for Mobil Refinery and retired after 44 years of service.

Earl served in the Army Air Forces during WWII as an MP. He was a long time member of Albert J. Hamilton, Post #7 American Legion and was a member of the post honor guard. He was proud of his service to his country.

Earl and Lillian met while roller skating and enjoyed dancing. Earl took great pride in caring for his lawn and garden. He enjoyed the wild animals in the neighborhood and was an avid supporter of the Humane Society.

He is survived by wife, Lillian, of Bellingham; son, Terry (Shelley) Rowe, of Ferndale; brother, Leon (Alberta) Rowe, of New Braunfels, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Rowe, currently on duty with US Navy in Williamsburg, VA, and Vanessa (Seth) Digby of Cle Elum, WA; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Zach.

Graveside will be held February 18, 2014 at 1:00pm in Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham. Military honors will be provided by Albert J. Hamilton Post #7, American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Whatcom Humane Society.
