Frank was born in Kathreinfeld, Banat, Hungary. He immigrated to this country in 1920 because he did not want to fight for the Serbs. He was Donuaswabian (a German people from the southern part of Germany who settled the border of the Hapsburg empire). In 1921 he married Margaret Birong. In 1922, they had a daughter, Margaret Anna born in New York City. In 1928, they had another daughter, Elsie Elizabeth born in Chicago. Frank worked as a delivery driver and security guard during his lifetime. He enjoyed grilling and baking bread. He is survived by 4 grandchildren.
