Zion community near Osyka, Mississippi. He married Euna Estelle Simmons on February 2, 1915. They had three children: Walter Jones, Jr., Lucy Juanita, and Wendell McClung. All of the children are deceased. This was a union of a Simmons and a Simmons. He was known as "Jones" and worked for the Magnolia Post Office as a rural mail carrier. He delivered mail by horse and carriage for many years.
