Edna Earl "Eddie" Fletcher, of Odessa died February 13, 2014 at the age of 97. She was born December 16, 1916 to Charlie F. Withers and Tirzah Melton Withers in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Eddie married Leonard W. Jones in 1939 and moved to Odessa in 1948. Mr. Jones died in 1951 and Eddie went to work for Oilwell Supply Company where she was the voice of Oilwell as their receptionist and PBX operator until her retirement. She married Merle L. Fletcher on September 1, 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle, a sister, Lorraine Withers Furgerson.
