Kathryn was the daughter of Emil and Louisa(Fehr) Sahner of Germany and New Jersey.
She was born in Germany in 1885 while the family was there visiting relatives.
She attended school in northern NJ, but left early to take employment as a maid to a family in NYC. There she met and married Roger Waterman. They had one daughter, Evelyn, born in 1921 in Wisconsin where Roger and Katie worked a farm in Portage La Prairie.
About 1925 the Watermans joined Katie's parents on their farm in Orange County, NY.
Katie and Roger divorced around 1940.
She lived the rest of her life with her daughter Evelyn in Orange County, NY.
