Lindsey Miller was born November 18, 1893, the son of Henry and Martha Hotz Miller, at Shoals, Ind. He received his education in rural Indiana schools.

He was united in marriage to Agnes Korine Gunderson of Eagle Grove January 21, 1933 at Eagle Grove. She died August 15, 1962. He was united in marriage to Gustie Gunderson of Thor, July 12, 1963, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove.

Mr. Miller was a veteran of World War I, and was stationed in France and Germany between 1918 and 1919. After the war he returned to rural Eagle Grove where he was a self-employed farmer. He retired in 1961, and moved into Eagle Grove. He was a member of the American Legion and the Farmers Co-op of Eagle Grove.

Lindsey Miller died March 3, 1988 at the Humboldt Care Center, Humboldt, at the age of 94 years, three months, and 15 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Agnes; and wife Gustie; two brothers, Harry and Freeman; two sisters, Rose Davenport and Mary Jane Miller.

He is survived by one son, The Rev. Robert Miller of Fullerton, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Maxine) Enfield, Stillwater, Minn.; Mrs. John (Delores) Smith of St. Louis, Mo.; Mrs. Terry (Helen) Thurlte, Millersville, Md.; one sister, Maude Hotz, Bedford, Ind.; two sisters-in-law, Edith Miller, Indianapolis, Ind., and Chleone Miller, Bedford, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 5, at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Carlton Shaw officiated. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
