Bill L. Graham, 68, of Aurora passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Veterans Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Grace Bible Fellowship at 2518 23rd Avenue, Central City. The Revs. John Prettyman and Fred Mikat will officiate.

Interment will be in Richland Cemetery at 2 p.m. Wednesday.Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of the arrangements.

Bill Lee Graham, the son of Burnard and Iris "June" (Posey) Graham, was born in Bremen, Ga., on July 14, 1945, and passed away in Omaha on Feb. 14, 2014, at the age of 68.

Bill grew up in Aurora attended Aurora High School. He entered the U.S. Navy in October 1965, where he received his GED. Bill was self-employed in construction following his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1968.

Bill was married to Barbara Friesen on Aug. 16, 1969, at Aurora. He was employed at Grosshans Lumber Co., Aurora Schools as a custodian, sales person for Egan Supply and Rockmount Research, and also worked at Davis Cleaning Service. He became disabled in 1988. Bill was affiliated with Pointman Ministries and ministered to Vietnam vets suffering from PTSD.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 42 and life member of VFW Post No. 4993, lifetime member of DAV, Navy SeaBees Veterans of America, Vietnam Veterans of America, the Disabled American Veterans, the Paralyzed Veterans Association and the Order of the Silver Rose. He was also a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Central City. Bill was on the board of directors with ABE and chairman of the Hamilton County Veterans Board. Bill's interests included playing with his grandchildren, working on antique radios, and going to auctions and garage sales. His outdoor activities included hunting, fishing, archery and fast-pitch softball, either watching or playing. He was a Nebraska football and basketball fan and New York Yankees fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara of Aurora; two sons, Paul (Shelly) and Tim (Becky) of Aurora; and five grandchildren, Alicia Graham, Jenna Graham, Peyton Graham, Isaac Graham and Andrew Graham. He is also survived by three brothers, Don (Louise) Graham of Central City, Edward (Janet) Graham of Grover, Colo., and Larry (Jackie) Graham of Virginia; two sisters, Flora Danhauer of Des Moines, Iowa, and Peggy (Doug) Salmon of Omaha; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
