Obituary: The Daily Republican, Rushville, Indiana
August 10, 1921, Page 1

Emmett Murphy Archey, age 63 years, who has conducted a store at Nipps Mill, north of Gins, was found dead in bed Tuesday morning in a room over the store, and death was believed to have been caused from heart trouble.

The funeral service will be held Friday morning at ten o'clock at the home of a brother, C. M. Archey in Connersville and burial will take place in the Dale cemetery, near that city. The deceased was never married and moved to Nipp's corner about four months ago, where he started a store in a dwelling house. He formerly lived in Connersville and his birthplace was in West Virginia.

He resided alone in the store room, and yesterday morning when early customers could not arouse him, an investigation was made and he was found dead in bed, having probably died several hours before.

The deceased is survived by two brothers, who are C.M. Archey and J. C. Archey in Connersville. Several other relatives survive near Milroy.
