"Helen M. Becker, nee Rehkemper, 75, of Bartelso, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese.

"Mrs. Becker was born September 11, 1935 in St. Rose to Leo and Margaret (Diekman) Rehkemper; they preceded her in death.

"She married Alfred Becker on May 2, 1956 at St. Rose Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on February 2, 2008.

"Also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Georgy; a brother, John Rehkemper; a sister-in-law, Alvina Becker; and brothers-in-law, Joseph Georgy, Alphonse Rensing, Roman Weber, and Herbert Becker.

"Surviving are her children, Brenda (Gervase) Eversgerd of Germantown, Brian (Carol) Becker of Germantown, and Bonnie (Craig) Markwardt of Nashville; 7 Grandchildren, Tonia (John) Schroeder, Teresa (Josh) Haar, Luke (Jackie) Eversgerd, Kelly (friend Ryan Hipkins) Becker, Brittany (friend Matt Rusteburg) Becker, Jessica Becker, and Keith (fiancée Amber Malick) Markwardt; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Diesel and Levi Haar, and Gavin and Wyatt Eversgerd; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roman Becker of Bartelso, Helen Rehkemper of St. Rose, Adele Rensing of St. Louis, Dorothy Weber of Bartelso, Emma (Don) McKee of Highland, and JoAnn Becker of Belleville.

"Helen was a homemaker and was the organist at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso for 50+years.

"She was a member of St. Cecilia Church and Ladies Sodality, Bartelso Young at Hearts Club, and the Clinton County Farm Bureau.

"Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Bartelso.

"Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 4:00-9:00 PM and again on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 9:00-10:30 AM at the Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.

"Memorials can be to St. Cecilia Church or to the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and will be received at the funeral home.
