Wife of LTC., James Raymond WatkinsSylvia E. Watkins, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away October 2, 2013. She was born March 1, 1925, in Ellisburg, KY, to the late Frank and Sarah Cummins Brown.

Sylvia was longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church where she volunteered at the Prayer Tower for many years. She was a loyal supporter of St. Joseph's Indian School, and in her earlier years, an avid bowler.

Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Lt. Col. James Watkins (USAF Ret.); daughter, Kellie Thompson (Tim); grandson, Christopher Thompson; sisters, Ruth Crockett and Marie Essex; and several nieces and nephews.

Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
