Elmer was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on February 28th, 1920, son of the late William and Nora Conatser.
Elmer was survived by his loving wife, Cecile Williams Conatser, whom he married in Scott County, Tennessee on November 4th, 1941; two sons, Michael Conatser of Somerset, Kentucky and Charles "Chuck" Conatser of Denton, Maryland; two daughters, Carol Polly and Sherry Downey, both of Louisville, Kentucky; three brothers, Cleo Conatser of Seligman, Arizona, Charles Conatser of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Adron Conatser of Batavia, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Conatser and Nora Conatser.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19th, 1993 in the Chapel of the Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky with Rich Stephens officiating.
Burial followed in the Williams Cemetery in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
