Rose Parrish, 88, of Hopewell Twp., formerly of Coraopolis, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, in Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.
She was a resident for the last three years of the Dom House in Beaver. She was born in Groveton, PA on February 13, 1925, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Soucek.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Parrish, in 1998, and her siblings: Frank Soucek, Helen Diregallo, Mary Castellon, Bessie Monyak, and Elizabeth Garfalo.
She is survived by her children: John Anthony and Marie Parrish, Merion, PA, and Marcy and Donald Murchland, Mt. Airy, NC; two grandchildren: Donald and Eric Murchland; four great-grandchildren: Ashley, Amber, Autumn and Hunter Murchland, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HUNTSMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES OF ALIQUIPPA, www.huntsmanfuneralhomes.com, 2345 Mill St., where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Interment will take place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 810 River Ave., Suite 140, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
