Martin W. Ferguson, Sr., 98, of Lingle died Feb. 11, 2014 in Torrington.

He was born Feb. 7, 1916 in Cheyenne to Walter and Julia Ferguson. He married Gladys "Mina" Talkington on Feb. 28, 1965 in Carpenter. He retired from ranching and was a member of the First Congregational Church, International Order of Oddfellows Lodge No. 1, Golden K, Farm Bureau, Wyoming Stockgrowers and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys "Mina" Ferguson of Lingle; children, Christine Burkhart and Julie Tiedaman of Des Moines, Iowa, Jo Ann Soto, Jack Talkington and Connie Snyder of Cheyenne, Jim Talkington of Hillsdale, Lela Dennis of Lingle; 18 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Martin W. Ferguson, Jr.; brothers, Mark, Walter, II., and Charles Ferguson; sisters Eva Ferguson, Martha Salsbury and Bergetta Wilson; and three grandchildren.
