Jewell Virginia Hall Anderson, 89 of Webster Springs went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Mon General Hospital. Her guardian angel "Buster" took her home.
She was born January 31, 1925 in Guardian to Charles and Rosa Payne Hall and was a lifelong resident of Webster County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, working puzzles, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She was Christian by faith and attended Union Valley Church.

Jewell is survived by her children Milton (wife Charlotte) Tanner, Anita (husband Steve) Postelwait, Ivan Tanner, and Jeffery (wife Tammy) Anderson all of Webster Springs, and Chonda (husband George) Kosanovich of Harpers Ferry; step-daughter Joann Blackburn of Oberlin, OH; grandchildren Kimble (wife Michelle) Tanner, Kevin (wife Tammy) Tanner, Pete (wife Monica) Tanner, Sherry (husband Darren) Cool, Kerry (husband Tony) Hamrick, Scott (wife Klorisa) Tanner, Tiffany Cutlip, Dakota Tanner, Martin Anderson, Coy Anderson, Nicholas Kosanovich, Samuel Kosanovich, Joesph Kosanovich, and Jeffery Kosanovich; great-grandchildren Trey, Keylee, Michael, Marina, Marcus, Hunter, and Noah Tanner, Makayla and Calib Cool, Tessa and Darcy Hamrick, and Lilly Tanner; great-great-granddaughter Gabriella Tanner; several step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donis Anderson; son Clayton Tanner; daughter-in-law Cathy Tanner Hall; sisters Vera Williams, Gatha Hall, and Ruby Clevenger; and brothers Harlan, Orval, and Doy Hall.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Jewell's life will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Curt Davis officiating. Jewell will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Cogar Cemetery, Guardian.
