THOMPSON SAMANTHA "SAMMY" M.
26, of Sturgeon, formerly of Canonsburg, died suddenly on Thursday, December 19, 2013, in St. Clair Hospital. She was born October 31, 1987, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Ralph "Butch" and Donna (Cross) Thompson of Canonsburg. Miss Thompson is a graduate of Canon McMillan High School, attended Ganon College and earned her doctorate at the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy. She was employed as a pharmacist at the Belle Vernon Giant Eagle. Surviving in addition to her parents are her fiancé, Andrew J. Little of Sturgeon; brother, Arthur (Erin) Kaste of West Virginia; sister, Danielle Thompson of Confluence, PA; grandparents, Mary Cross of Canonsburg, Vivian Thompson of McDonald and Ralph Thompson of Canonsburg; nieces and nephew, Amelia, Joshua, and Isabel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cheryl and Chester Little of Oakdale. Friends will be received Monday 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the THOMAS - LITTLE FUNERAL SERVICE, INC., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the St. Alphonsus R.C. Church, McDonald. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park, Canonsburg.
