Helen Reeves, age 92, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 in a local nursing home. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, at 2002 Beech Street, daughter of Lea R. and Mildred Hinton Williamson.

Helen has lived in the Texarkana area most of her life, graduating from Texarkana, Arkansas High School in 1940. She lived in Mena and Ashdown for short periods of time.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Lea and Mildred Williamson, her husband of 45 years, William A. Reeves, her nephew, Joel Bard and her sister, Mina L. Williamson Bard, who passed away on January 20, 2015.

Helen was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church of Texarkana, Arkansas, Daughters of American Revolution, United Daughters of Confederacy, Dames of Magna Charter, Colonies Dames of XVII Century, Mayflower Society, American Legion, Woodlawn Cemetery Board and a supporter of the Baptist Foundation for Scholarships. She is greatly loved and will be missed.

Helen is survived by three nieces as well as four grand nieces and nephews and 11 great grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
