Mary Theriot Breaux, 89, of Nederland, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in Silsbee. She was born January 6, 1925, to Bernadette and Leo Barousse in Church Point, Louisiana, and had been a resident of Nederland for most of her life. Mary devoted her life to caring for her family and was affectionately known by Sis, Gee Maw, Maw Maw and Maw. Family meant the most to her, and that was evident in the care she continued to provide to later generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, Mary also enjoyed reading, sewing, cleaning, cooking and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl Meredith and her husband, Dale, of Kirbyville; Larry John Theriot and his wife, Beverly, of Lumberton, Nadene Bailey of Beaumont, Conlith Schion and her husband, Steve, of Nederland and Bret Wallace and her husband, Eddie, of Silsbee; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sister, Nora Higginbotham; and brother, John Barousse and his wife, Gertie, all of Church Point, Louisiana.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace Theriot, granddaughter, Becca Schion Miller; one sister; and six brothers.

Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
