Elnor Louise (ElLouise) Carpenter, age 62 of Salida, passed away on Friday February 14, 2014 at Heart of The Rockies Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Carpenter was born September 27, 1951 in Salida, CO to Earl and Billie Louise Bunker.

Mrs. Carpenter grew up in the Villa Grove and Saguache areas and graduated from Saguache High School in 1969. After graduation, she and her life long friend Earlene (McDaniels) Dague moved to Salida. ElLouise married Ron Carpenter June 8, 1984. She loved her family, children and lived for her grandchildren. Mrs. Carpenter loved sea shells and dragonflies.

Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, daughter Leah (Nick) Cunningham of Salida, CO, son Benjamin (Dani) Carpenter of Chappell, NE, step-daughters Holly and Heather Carpenter both of Salida. Grandchildren Jordan Carpenter US Army Korea, Kaylin Garcia of Salida, Sidney Garcia of Salida, CO, Lane Carpenter of Divide, CO, Jacob Carpenter of Divide, CO, Kaleb Carpenter of Salida and Grady Carpenter of Chappell, NE.

Memorial services are set for 1:00 PM Friday February 21, 2014 at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the ElLouise Carpenter Memorial Fund at Pueblo Bank and Trust, 200 F Street, Salida, CO 81201. Memorial services for Elnor "ElLouise" Carpenter were held at 1 p.m. Feb. 21, 2014, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida.

The Rev. Chuck Surface officiated the service.

Jack Shaw read the obituary. Family members and friends shared memories. Several music selections of Elvis Presley were played on compact disc.

Honorary pallbearers were Bob Bunker, Bill Bunker, Benjamin Carpenter, John Andre, Sam DeLeo and Harold Lofgren.

Arrangements were with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
