Mrs. Vinson was born in Hartford City and was a homemaker. She had been formerly employed at Hartford City Paper Mill and Indiana Glass, Dunkirk, and was former co-owner of Vinson's Cafe, Hartford City, and was former site manager of the Redkey Park Cabin Meal Site for the Elderly. She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, the Redkey Town and Country Home Demonstration Club, United Methodist Church and the Suzanna Wesley Club.
Survivors include her husband, Francis M. Vinson; a daughter, Marian Orr (Husband Richard), Hartford City; a son, Bill Vinson (wife Kimberly), Muncie; a brother, Charles F. Michael (wife Mary), Hartford City; an aunt, Jennie Dearduff, Markleville; three grandchildren, Michael Khayyata, Hartford City, Angela and Rachel Vinson, Muncie, and several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Her parents, Ulva (Doc) H. and Hazel Delight Lucas Michael, and two brothers, Allen L. Michael and Jesse A. Michael, are deceased.
Services will be at 11am Friday in MJS Mortuaries, Jones Chapel, with Rev. Joe Hines and Rev. Wayne Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.
Calling will be at 2-5 and 7-9pm today at the funeral home.
