Mrs. Jewel Ada Hazelton Study Fowler, 84, of Copper Ridge, Sykesville, died Wednesday, Jan. 14 at her residence.She was wife of Roscoe Ted Fowler.Born March 24, 1919, in Frederick, she was daughter of Scott Luther and Roma Arlene Markoe Study.Mrs. Fowler was a former member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ellicott City, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick.She was active in the Women's Civic Club of Howard County and the Manor Players, a small theater group in the 1950s. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Ardis F. Cohen of Baltimore, and R. Ted Fowler Jr. and wife Sharon of Ellicott City; two grandchildren, Melissa L. Cohen of Catonsville and Jeremy J. Cohen of Ellicott City; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Paige Cohen of Ellicott City; two sisters, Ardis J. Waters and husband Franklin and Carol Ann Rudy and husband Kenneth, all of Frederick; two brothers, Brian D. Study and wife Helen of Philadelphia, Pa., and Jerry W. Study and wife Louise of Frederick; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Fowler; two sisters, Ruby E. Moser and Maxine O'Brien; and son-in-law, Stanley Cohen.Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
